From staples like Animal Crossing and indie hits like Stardew Valley and so many more, the formula is seeing more success than ever before. That goes for the series that kicked off the genre too, that being the Harvest Moon series. Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is the latest entry in the Story of Seasons series, which is the new name given to the classic Harvest Moon franchise. The game is a remake of Harvest Moon DS: Grand Bazaar and follows along the same story as the original. Despite only releasing less than three weeks ago, it has been revealed that this game has already surpassed the 500,000 sales milestone worldwide. To commemorate this occasion, special artwork created by series artist Igusa Matsuyama was shared in celebration.

It’s a nice sign to see such a quick milestone be reached for a series as impactful as Story of Seasons. The competition for the cozy games genre has never been more competitive than it is today, and yet the very series that started it all is still going strong to this day.
