It may not feel like it just yet but E3 2017 is upon us. While the show is opening its doors to the public once again this year, some of you may have missed out on the window to get a ticket or simply can’t afford to make the trip. Thankfully, an alternative option is now available – so long as you’re really good at the Wii U’s Splatoon.

eSports organizer Battlefy will be hosting a Splatoon US Inkling Open towards the end of April, where the winning team will receive a trip to Los Angeles for E3.

Anyone in the US who is 18 or over can create a team over on the Battlefy site with 3 friends. The qualifying rounds will take place on April 22nd, and specific rules and details can be found there.

If you plan on entering, good luck and get ready to ink it up!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
