Fans of classic platformers will have something to tide them over on Switch next month, as DotEmu has announced a release date for Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, the remake of the Master System’s Wonder Boy III.

The game will be available from April 18th via the Nintendo eShop.

If you’re unaware, 1989’s Wonder Boy III had you play as an adventurer with the ability to transform into a variety of animals, from a lion to a mouse, even a dragon. This remake is being developed by Lizardcube and lets you play with either the original sprites or updated art, which you can flip between on the fly. You can even import your old Master System passwords, letting you bring over decades-old progress to the modern system.

More info is promised for the game on March 18, so be sure to check back!
