While the Zelda series is no stranger to DLC thanks to the massive Hyrule Warriors, it has just been announced that an Expansion Pass will be heading to Breath of the Wild, a first for the mainline series.

You’ll be able to buy the Expansion Pass from March 3rd for $19.99/£17.99. While the two core DLC packs will arrive in Summer and Winter respectively, you’ll immediately get access to new treasure chests at the Great Plateau and an exclusive Switch shirt for Link at launch.

Breath of the Wild DLC Details

The Summer DLC pack will include a hard mode, a new Cave of Trials challenge, and an additional map feature. The Winter pack will be more fully featured, with a new story, dungeon and some extra challenges.

We’ll bring you more news as it’s made available.
