Back in Spring of 2015, before Splatoon launched on the Wii U, Nintendo held special demo events that any Wii U owner could take part in. Two years later, that idea has stayed fresh, and Nintendo is bringing the Global Testfire back once again.

As announced in the video above, the Global Testfire will take place over the weekend of March 24-26, in six hour-long sessions. Nintendo Switch owners will be able to try their hand at Splatoon 2 during this demo, a couple of months before the game officially launches. The times for each of the Testfire sessions are as follows:

March 24, 2017
12:00 p.m. – 12:59 p.m.PST
8:00 p.m. – 8:59 p.m. PST
March 25, 2017
4:00 a.m – 4:59 a.m. PST
12:00 p.m. – 12:59 p.m.PST
8:00 p.m. – 8:59 p.m. PST
March 26, 2017
4:00 a.m – 4:59 a.m. PST

If past Global Testfires are any indication, this event will hopefully be just the first of its kind for Splatoon 2, with another event or two to follow leading up to the release this Summer.

Are you excited to try out the new weapons and sub weapons of Splatoon 2 this March? We sure are! Stay tuned to Nintendo Wire for more Splatoon 2 news as it becomes available. As always, “Stay Fresh”!
