Reviews are beginning to trickle in for Pokémon Sun & Moon, which are only a few days away from hitting shelves in North America. The new titles currently hold a score of 88 on Metacritic, and all 24 reviews so far are positive. Here are the scores from a few of the most notable reviews:

IGN: 9/10

Nintendo Life: 10/10

Digital Spy: 5/5

RPG Site: 9/10

Polygon: 8.5/10

The general consensus from these reviews is that Sun and Moon are two of the best entries in the entire franchise, and a fitting way to close out the 20th Anniversary of Pokémon. Reviewers are thrilled with the plot, the exclusion of HMs and the beauty of the Alola region.

If the reviews are any indication, we should be treated to one of the most memorable journeys in Pokémon history. We’ll be sure to supply a review of our own once all of the online services are up and running and we’ve had time to adventure around Alola ourselves, so be sure to check back next week!
